Ooh – Can We Have One Of Those?

This garden was a truly blank space but with newly passionate gardeners who wanted big beds and lots of plants, and views, and seating areas, and a tree fern, and an Olive tree, and, ooh, can we have one of those?

A simple layout really lets the plants do the talking, we create generous beds with pathways to enjoy the plants at every level. Three Seating areas give different aspects and provide sun/shade at different times of day.

Screening was needed at the rear which was created with a cedar wall, this also provides the backdrop to an evening seating area and marks a divide between planting areas. The bench enjoys and elevated position under a pergola (that will now be covered) with scented jasmine.

A cool toned porcelain paved terrace outside the house provides a calm area with space for entertaining family and friends.
